Ofqual-regulated qualifications
Designed to suit learners at every stage. Each course is carefully structured to build your BSL skills progressively, ensuring you are prepared for real-world interactions within the Deaf community. Our experienced instructors provide not just language training but also cultural insights, giving you the tools to engage respectfully and effectively with Deaf individuals.

Level 1
Ideal for beginners, this course covers the basics of BSL, including vocabulary, alphabet, numbers, and phonology.

Level 2
It seamlessly builds on Level 1, strengthening knowledge of BSL phonology, deepening candidates’ understanding of BSL syntax, and expanding their vocabulary.

Level 3
Committed learners are those who aspire to work within the deaf sector. Candidates must already possess competent BSL skills, with the ability to communicate without the need for constant correction or support. This course focuses on the intermediate level of conversational styles in BSL, including debating, script translation, and the further development of receptive skills.

Level 6
Level 6 is designed for those working towards becoming trainee interpreters, building on complex syntax and advancing the skills developed at Level 3. The course expands your knowledge of Deaf history while deepening your understanding of BSL morphology. Learners will also benefit from workshop-based training with qualified BSL interpreters and experienced Deaf professionals.
